From the beginning, he refused shortcuts, insisting on hand-formed, never-frozen chuck patties, artisan buns, and fresh toppings sourced from local suppliers. The result was a burger joint that immediately stood apart. The Houston Chronicle called him “the high-strung, exacting face of Houston’s hamburger renaissance,” while Eater Houston praised his “cook-to-order” philosophy and relentless attention to quality.
His creativity reshaped the burger scene with cult favorites like the Philly Cheesesteak Burger, Sticky Monkey Burger, and Greek Burger. Along with craft fries, old-fashioned sodas, and local beers, each location still delivers the same warm, neighborhood energy Ricky envisioned.
His leadership style remains personal and hands-on. He tours kitchens, checks every system, and keeps standards high enough to win Food Network’s “Top 10 Best Burgers in America.”

Over the past two decades, he’s guided small and mid-sized businesses through transformational growth, and over the last five years has focused on turning entrepreneurial concepts into sustainable legacies.

Beyond his professional achievements, David is deeply rooted in his community. He and his wife, Marla, live in Montgomery, Texas, where they raise their three children. With more than two decades of experience across construction, manufacturing, importing, and franchise development, Vince has built a reputation for delivering results from concept to completion. His career includes managing large-scale projects across the restaurant, education, wellness, and commercial industries nationwide. Before joining Hubcap Grill, he served as Director of Construction and later as Director of Franchise and Project Management for a national education franchise, overseeing 47 developments and creating a procurement system that lowered buildout costs while improving franchisee profitability.
Earlier in his career, Vince owned and operated a precast manufacturing company in Fort Lauderdale, producing and exporting architectural components for luxury residential and commercial projects. This hands-on experience in manufacturing and importing gave him deep insight into supply chain management, material quality, and value engineering—all of which now guide Hubcap Grill’s franchise construction program.
As a licensed general contractor and builder, Vince oversees every phase of site development, including selection, design coordination, permitting, construction management, and FF&E procurement. His comprehensive approach ensures each new franchise location is delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest professional standards.
Vince’s leadership provides franchise partners with the confidence that every detail of their buildout is handled with excellence. His experience and dedication ensure that Hubcap Grill’s expansion remains steady, strategic, and reflective of the craftsmanship and care that define the brand.
